Clark's History/Backstory
Born on the advanced planet Krypton, Superman's birth name is Kal-El.
His biological parents were the scientist Jor-El and Lara Lor-Van.
Jor-El foresaw Krypton's imminent destruction and launched his infant son to Earth in a small spaceship, saving him from the cataclysm that destroyed the planet.
Krypton's explosion also created Kryptonite, a substance deadly to Kryptonians exposed to Earth's yellow sun.
Arrival on Earth and upbringing
The spaceship landed in rural Smallville, Kansas, where Kal-El was discovered and adopted by Jonathan and Martha Kent, who named him Clark Kent.
